Calculation of previously calculated mesh portions can be done using the toolMesh/Operations with Mesh...
We will explain this below with an example:
Suppose we have the following project with a calculated mesh:
It is then intended to remove two roads located in the city centre in order to recalculate only a small surface of the previously calculated mesh (referring to the area where the roads have been removed) to be calculated). To do this, the following steps must be followed:
1. Save the complete mesh already calculated without changes made byMesh/Save as...and naming it as R1:
2. Before removing or disabling the two roads, draw the small area of calculation to be calculated at a later stage and calculate the mesh.
3. Save the mesh as R1':
4. Remove or disable both roads and recalculate the mesh:
5. Save the mesh as R2:
6. 6. AddressMesh/Operations with Mesh...and charge the R1' mesh in R1 and mesh R2 in the R2 field. In the respective indicator of the "Expression for the new mesh" field we introduce r1-r2.
By clicking on OK, you will calculate a new mesh with the differences, in the defined calculation area, between the initial values and the values calculated without the two roads.
7. Save the mesh as R3
8. Remove the calculation area and charge the R1 mesh byMesh/Open...
9.AddressMesh/Operations with Mesh...and load the R1 mesh in R1 and R3 mesh in the R2 field. In the respective indicator of the "Expression for the new mesh" field we introduce r1-r2.
By clicking on OK, you will calculate a new mesh in which the differences between the mesh of the calculation area with and without the two roads will be subtracted, retaining the values of the
