CadnaA Options

Both CadnaA Light and Professional and CadnaA Basic can be functionally expanded with a number of options. Details about these, accompanied by an explanatory video, will be explained below.

BMP option: bitmap and other interfaces

Any CadnaA product can expand its functionality with the BMP option, which allows the import and handling of orthophotes and other images. It also provides additional import and export formats and tools to improve 3D image presentation.
  1. Bitmap handling(more than 40 different file formats).
  2. InterfaceGoogle Maps.
  3. Connection withweb map services(Wms).
  4. Import and visualization of3D symbolsin special 3D view.
  5. Export of resultsto Google Earth(.kmz).


PRO option: extended multithreading and additional tools which enhance efficiency

The PRO option extends multiprocess to 64 logical cores (threads) and includes additional tools to streamline and facilitate your work.
  1. Multiprocessing up64 logical nuclei(ubprocesses).
  2. Automatic function ofclosure of polygons.
  3. Function oftransfer of attributesbetween different objects.
  4. Migration assistantfrom RLS90 to RLS19.
  5. Automatic error searchingin the MDT.
  6. Automatic simplificationvery detailed MDT, based on height points.

Option X: extended analysis and postprocessing features

Option X facilitates the production of EU noise maps in accordance with the Environmental Noise Directive 2002/49/EC. This option includes a set of advanced post-processing functions.
  1. Assessment of the condition in populationaccording to all procedures included in EU Regulations 1226/2021 and EU 2020/367.
  2. Statistical analysisto assess the size of the area for each level interval according to EU 1226/2021.
  3. Generation of conflict maps: creates conflict maps to visually represent areas with potential noise problems.
  4. Population density: automatically distributes residents to buildings taking into account the size of the building and the number of floors.
  5. Customization and automation with LUA scriptsto automate CadnaA tasks and create user-defined functionalities.
  6. Automatic closurepolygons and functions ofsimplificationdetailed MDTs.

OptionL: large scale projects

Option L integrates an unlimited project size in terms of the number of objects allowed, which makes it particularly useful in large noise map development projects.
  1. Unlimited project size: calculates large-scale projects with up to 16 million buildings and 16 million barriers per project.

BPL option: back tracing of sound power levels

The BPL option allows you to calibrate the sound power level (PWL) of surface sources, from known sound pressure levels (e.g. measured or limit values).
  1. Sourceadditional industrialoptimizable.
  2. Manual or automatic optimizationof noise emission.
  3. Calibration of surface sourceswhose pressure level at different receiving points. is known or measured.
  4. Automatic fixing of thenoise quota.


SET option: sound emission and transmission

With the SET option you can automatically generate acoustic power spectra for complex systems based on the technical parameters of the system of a sound source (e.g. electric power in kW, volhumetric flow).
  1. Generation of frequent sound power spectraradiant determined from the technical parameters of a sound source.
  2. Modeling of complex installations and deviceswith multiple sound sources and radiant surfaces, considering transmission between parts.
  3. Set and ready to use data set of approximately150 predefined sound source models(source descriptions).
  4. The dataset can be easily expanded using models ofuser-defined sound sources.


RAD option: radar tracks

CadnaA City & Airport expands its functionality with the RAD Option to import and filter radar flight information from the most relevant formats and use it for calculating aircraft noise.
  1. Calculation of aircraft noisebased on radar data.
  2. Importing radar dataof Fanomos, Stanly and Topsonic formats, or user-defined.
  3. Selection oftime period.
  4. Automatic classification of groupsaccording to the ICAO code at the time of calculation.
  5. Automatic filteringradar tracks based on attributes.


APL option: air pollution

The APL option expands the CadnaA product range by calculating, evaluating and representing the impact of air pollutants.
  1. Calculation of the distribution ofmore than 50 pollutantsincluding PM (particles), NO2, NOx, SO2, benzene, smells, etc.
  2. Exhibition mapsto all pollutants from industrial and road sources.
  3. Importation ofstatistics statisticsannual or multiannualweather parameters.
  4. Standardized emission factorsfor road traffic.
